The Gen II+ gears pair fits in the Gen I transmission and is eight percent higher; it drops the needed engine RPM in top gear. This requires tearing the engine down to empty cases, so think of this as something to add if the motor is coming apart for other reasons. Otherwise it is likely too much work for too little return. The counter-shaft sprocket listed can also be used with 530 chains; that is the practice of hyper-bike enthusiasts.
